PROSPECTS FOR THE CREATION OF A NEW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT IN UKRAINE

The paper analyzes the development of air cargo transportation in the world and, in particular, in Ukraine in recent years. The world experience of building new airports and reconstructing existing ones to increase the capacity of cargo traffic is considered. An assessment of the workload of Ukrainian airports is provided. Possible options for the development of the aviation industry within the framework of the country's reconstruction projects are considered. An analysis of the prospects for unloading the leading terminals, in particular the Kyiv Aviation Hub, is carried out. A preliminary assessment is made of the feasibility of building new airports and reconstructing existing ones in Ukraine to increase cargo transportation capacity. Attention is paid to the location of the facilities, existing infrastructure and analysis of the adjacent territory in terms of the feasibility of its use for the development of airport infrastructure. It also considers the possibility of creating a cargo airport of international importance in Ukraine and explores the key advantages of such a project.
